SPEAKING OF SAMANTICS
Hi, I'm Sam! I'm the owner of Speaking of Samantics. After finding myself unable to work during part of the pandemic, I turned to my creative side and started this business with just a few sticker designs. It has blossomed into more than just stickers and over 400 designs! I'm a huge advocate for graduate students and feel as if it is my calling to change the narrative for graduate school. Hopefully, together we will make it a more accepting and supportive environment. Thank you for being here! I hope you find something that makes you laugh, smile or be proud to be in the field of speech pathology.
I LOVE these IPA sneakers!!! They will be great to wear for teaching Phonetics!
Go by the European size as it is correct. The US sizes are 2 sizes larger than what you normally wear. You will not be able to return them!! I didn’t see that fine print and ended up buying another pair as it was a gift for a friend. My SLP friend LOVED the shoes!
So cute fun and clever
I received my shoes today! I was super excited to get them. However, they arrived and they are, unfortunately, just slightly too short. I did what the description said, I measured my feet before placing my order. I’m normally a women’s size 8/8.5 in shoes. However, with this, I ordered a size 6. And when I measured, I made sure that the 6 was still even slightly big so that I’d still have some space. However, the numbers were still definitely off because the shoes are too short! My toes are scrunched at the end. I’m definitely upset because I was super excited to wear these, but they aren’t going to be comfortable enough to wear. And they weren’t cheap. Like I said, they’re super adorable! And the quality seems nice. I’m just disappointed that even the measurements were off in the chart. I’d suggest ordering a size up from what your measurement comes out to. I wish I had ordered these in a 7 they may have been slightly big, but they would have been comfortable enough to wear. The ones I have now are just too short. I’m just upset because I took the necessary steps to measure my feet before ordering as well. So, it’s just made it more frustrating for me. Because I was so excited for them! And since they aren’t accepting returns or exchanges on these shoes, I just feel that I wasted my money even though I did take the necessary steps to measure my feet beforehand.
